US-Mexico Border Response

We offer direct assistance to families who are currently in Mexico and continue to provide case management services to them once they arrive in the United States. During the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) and Title 42 policies, we provided case management, legal referrals, and direct support to families as they entered the United States.

Additionally, since the Asylum Ban was implemented, we have extended case management services and direct support to over a hundred indigenous Hondurans and Nicaraguans who are stranded in Matamoros and Tijuana. We also collaborate with shelter operators in Reynosa and Matamoros to ensure that the most vulnerable asylum seekers receive the necessary legal assistance and advocacy.

Our work to document human rights and legal violations at the border to help with federal litigation and advocacy efforts can be read here.
